The Hastings Art Trail is a collection of local artists and artisans who have opened their studios and galleries to the public to offer a glimpse into the working life and creative journey of the artist.
Discover the beauty of original art works from a diverse range of artists who create a unique range of paintings, drawings, jewellery and mosaics. Your visit is warmly welcomed and the galleries are listed below. To avoid disappointment should the gallery be unattended please phone ahead.
All members of the Artist Trail are also members of the Hastings Valley Fine Arts Association and are featured on their website—www.hastingsvalleyart.net

Open Days in conjunction with Summer Showcase Exhibition

You're cordially invited to visit our Art Trail galleries which will be open for this long weekend.
Saturday 31 December, Sunday 1 January and Monday 2 January from 10:00am until 4:30pm each day.
Please phone ahead to make sure the particular gallery you wish to visit has someone in attendance, although most of the galleries will be available this weekend.

Summer Showcase Exhibition on now at Laurieton United Servicemans Club

Hastings Art Trail members did very well in the Summer Showcase Exhibition held by the Hastngs Vallery Fine Arts Association. This exhibition is held in Laurieton at the Laurieton United Services Club from 29th December through to 5th January 2012. There was a Cocktail Opening night and Award Presentation on Wednesday 28th December 2011 with quite a large number of art trail members receiving awards, testifying to the quality of work presented by art trail members.
 

Participation in the Foreshore Markets & Regular Gallery Open Days

A New initiative of the Hastings Art Trail is our participation in the monthly Foreshore Markets. These markets are held on the second Saturday of each month and feature artists, artisans and locally made products and produce to entice the public and tourists in what the region has to offer.

Kim McLean - The Summit Gallery & Studio

Kim started off as a pastellist and has used various mixed media but finds she's drawn to watercolour. Most of her work is done in watercolour. She loves the luminosity, unpredictability and the challenge of watercolour. She's inspired by life in general and all the little things we take for granted and she loves impressionism.  

Gail Sue – Gum Scrub Studio Gallery

Gail Sue is a contemporary artist using mixed media, acrylic and more recently encaustic as her medium. Her love of colour and unique interpretation of subject is evident in her finished pieces. She has exhibited in Australia and USA in joint and solo exhibitions and is represented in private and corporate collections in Australia and internationally.

Maureen Hales – Benjella Art Studio & Gallery

Maureen works in two contrasting styles. Her portraits and boudoir art in her unique style of mixed media and her amazing seascapes in acrylic on canvas.

Wendy Friend

Wendy enjoys using various mediums to capture the essence of landscapes and people in traditional and contemporary styles.
 

Kim Staples - Art of Life

Kim is a diverse artist using colour, texture and expression to capture her water based mixed media paintings and sculpting.

Francessca O'Donnell & Vick Compton - Out There Design and Mosaic

Chess and Vic offer an outstanding range of brilliant original mosaic murals, water features and garden sculptures.

Elsa Toms

Elsa paints in acrylics, pastels and mixed media  and has resulted in many prizes for her diverse work.
 

David Little - Art by Little

David's true love of the Australian countryside is faithfully reproduced in superb, traditional style. 

Phillip Thornton - Flinders Gallery

Phillip uses a realistic style to beautifully and accurately capture local landscapes and seascapes in oils.

Brian Barker & Rita Carosi - Rainbow Beach Art Studio & Gallery

Brian and Rita are both highly talented artists with many merit awards, offering stunning works in all mediums. 

Harold Le Jeune - Gallery Le Jeune & Art Studio

Harold is a versatile award winning artist who has held 5 solo exhibitions, and vibrantly portrays local and European scenes in Watercolour.

Lynne Bickhoff - Bickhoff Impressions Gallery & Studio

Lynne offers a modern contemporary painting style, capturing the light, mood and colours of her subject. A multi award winning artist, recently winning the Mid North Coast Art Prize.She has a diverse range of work and explores many different subjects although always with a strong contemporary feel to the works.. Lynne has held multi solo and joint exhibitions, particularly enjoying presenting her art in an exhibition that has a strong narrative. Your visit is most welcome.

Helen Pain - Level 4 Gallery

Helen's artworks are bright and expressive, covering a range of subjects including still life, seascapes and landscapes. She is particulary drawn to the unique colours, shapes and contrasts of the outback, but also draws a great deal of inspiration from the everchaning moods and colours of the ocean.
